Arturo Fuente Don Carlos Eye of the Shark is one of the best cigars in the world!
Cigar Aficionado - the American magazine dedicated to the world of cigars - awarded the Arthuro Fuente Don Carlos Gran Reserva - Eye of the Shark the highest score ever, 97 points. To create this masterpiece, Carlos Fuente Sr. combined rare Dominican old tobaccos, hand-selected and as old as 10 years. The Shark Eye differs from the regular Don Carlos line in its cigar blend, the wrapper is from Cameroon while the inner tobacco leaves are well aged and grown in the Dominican Republic, which is the base recipe for most Don Carlos cigars. Because of the whole formula, it is called Shark's Eye, if you look at it horizontally it resembles the body of a great white shark. Its connoisseurs recognize a range of baking spices, notes of citrus, tones of walnut, leather, with a finish of cedar and cider. This cigar was launched as a limited edition in 2016 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 'Don Carlos' line, as well as the 80th birthday of his father, Carlos Fuente. On the box, the words 'The Man's 80th' can be read on the side of the brightly painted red case. In addition to the Cigar Aficionada rating, the cigar also received the prestigious 'Cigar of the Year' award in 2017.
